I’ve found a special place in my heart for all things shabby and chic. It has also become a popular DIY theme by combining vintage flare, rustic cottage and french farmhouse feel. I especially love how this decor has such a girly appeal, and distressed for added charm.
One of the few pieces that always catches my eye, other than distressed furniture pieces, is the lighting. Not realizing how unique they are in this trend, some of these fixtures are the most difficult to come by. I can imagine myself rummaging through an antique shop or vintage consignment – giving an old chandelier a little DIY R&R – and tada! Shabby Chic.
But if that isn’t your thing, not to worry. Shabby Chic is a growing trend in the home decor department. And believe it or not, it’s easier to find lighting pieces to fit your Shabby Chic home than you think.
