Or you can just call them Flojitos. A Coke float + Key Lime mojito. You’re welcome, in advanced.
In the Link household, our date night staple is relaxing out back – preferably in a lounge chair – with a delicious cocktail. Maybe a craft brew, depending on our craving! We have spent more evenings like this than we can count on all four of our hands – it’s our favorite go-to for enjoying that quality time together.
This time we decided to spice things up a bit – combining our two favorite drinks into one. While my husband’s obvious drink of choice is a simple rum and coke, I’m a mojito fan myself. So we have rum in common – win win! And so… the key lime coke float mojito (or flojito) was born.
Honestly, you can also enjoy this delicious, feel-good, summer vibing drink without getting all boozy – just make it non-alcoholic and it will still be amazing and refreshing! Easy-peasey Lime squeezey!
Just thinking about it has me envisioning laying by the pool on a hot day sipping on mint and lime refreshing goodness. So when you’re in need of a unique date idea with your bae, there’s no need to get fancy-pantsy about it. Jot down this recipe, and start a simple tradition favorite like we did. If you ask me, quality time well spent is time together spent well.
