BDellium Makeup Tools
Let me start off by saying I’m in a Love-Hate relationship with makeup right now. I’m nearing 30, and I’m becoming ENVIOUS about how perfect my skin used to be, and I never appreciated it. Now, I am developing those dark spots, age marks, and currently dealing with Rosacea on my problem areas. So, finding the right products to help subside my denial of perfect skin is my mission. And I’m starting with the products it takes to actually apply the makeup.
I’ve had the same makeup brushes, I kid you not, for over FIVE YEARS. I’ve had them for so long I think I have convinced myself there’s nothing else out there. And blatantly, I’m just too scared to try new things. My biggest conundrum is having that perfect foundation brush, and good brushes that hold product – not the kind where you see dust exploding in your face, and dripping down under your eyes as you’re applying it.
But then I heard about BDellium Tools and Makeup products – I gave it a whirl. Why not?
I was given the opportunity to try out their foundation and eye shadow brushes. BDellium Tools are handmade and designed by makeup artists in California. Known for their 7 different product lines, they specialize in special effects and eco-friendly brushes that are made from all natural and synthetic fiber material.
Below are the names of the products reviewed, and a detailed product review and tutorial video.
BDellium Makeup Brushes | Product Review
Product Quality Evaluation:
I tested each of the brushes in THREE separate trial runs within a three day period, so that my review would deem as more credible than just a one-time use trial. By the third trial of the brushes, I was pleasantly satisfied with the application results. Being that I was so used to brushes that are over five years old, it was imperative for me to give BDellium products a fair chance with practice.
The Pink Bambu Foundation brush is made of Vegan synthetic bristles. The texture of the brush is very, very soft and loose. Upon testing the foundation brush, I first noticed some of the bristles on the sides were falling off, which was the only obstacle while using the product. But since I used the product in three trial runs, the only time I noticed this con was on the very first use.
When using the foundation brush, I determined the product was only fit for loose powder or compact powder foundations. The angled shape of the brush was something very different having in a foundation/contour brush in comparison to other brushes – it allowed me to fully get product under my eyes and in creases my other brushes could never reach! As for contouring, it allowed me to use the narrower edge of the brush to sweep product where I wanted it to go.
The Yellow Bambu Smoky Eye Brush Set is also made of Vegan synthetic bristles, and they are also Hypoallergenic! Which is great for someone like me, since I tend to have skin on the sensitive side. These bristles are also very, very soft in texture. But I didn’t experience a loss of bristles when using them, which was great. I was able to find good use with each of the products in the set to create my eye shadow look. The one thing I found beneficial when using the eye shadow brush set was that there was no under-eye mess – the brushes seemed to hold product very well.
Overall, I am pleased with the end result of the application with the products, and the quality of products after three trial uses of the brushes. The quality for the marked price is reasonable when it comes to professional high-end quality brushes, especially when each product is created to fulfill a certain purpose in makeup application.
